  • Descrição: This item has been previously abstracted from original Russian. For isothermal bright hardening of spungs of sheet steels types 45, 65G, U8A, 60S2A a special facility was designed. Specific features of operation are as follows: heating in protective atmosphere, quenching in alkaline bath (60% KOH+40% NaOH), tempering in alkaline bath of the same composition. Quenching bath has the temperature of 280-300 deg C, the tempering one--(380-410 deg C). The application of double heat treatment enables a hardenability increase and a decrease of hardness scatter. The equipment described assures high productivity and clean surfaces of heat treated springs.
