  • Descrição: This paper describes a technological work as the application of vacuum environment to verify leakage on the propulsion system of the Flight Model #2 of the CBERS spacecraft, developed at LIT-INPE in Sao Jose dos Campos, SP. In additional, some information regarding a distinct test philosophy adopted by the Chinese laboratory to perform these tests after the transportation of the spacecraft to China and after the Acoustic Tests is also presented. These tests included the Local Leak Tests where components were individually checked, and the Global Leak Tests, when the complete spacecraft Service Module was loaded into a Space Simulation Chamber (Brazil). Helium Leak Detectors were used for this purpose and the final results demonstrated that the spacecraft propulsion system leakage rates were within the required values.
