Everything, including site design, navigation, content categorization, and search functionality should serve the main goal of enabling users to find the information they need. The first step to making content more accessible is to implement an overall information architecture, including publishing guidelines. There should be a clear information architecture that organizes content into logical buckets, with each page containing a single topic. The best way to provide visitors with a fast way of finding exactly what they need is for a search engine to be integrated within a site. Equally important is making sure your content is search-engine-friendly.
