  • Descrição: Anger is an important emotion that is functionally necessary for species survival. Yet, the emotion of anger can become an obstacle to functional existence as well, and significant levels of anger and its behavioral manifestations of aggression and violence can bring about vast emotional, legal, social, and physical health consequences. This chapter tackles the complex topic of treating clinical anger and its associated behavioral difficulties by presenting the treatment protocol known as Contextual Anger Regulation Therapy (CART). CART is a nine‐module mindfulness and acceptance‐based behavioral treatment that has been effectively utilized in formal clinical settings with clinical anger clients, including those who are mandated for treatment for both non‐domestic and domestic violence.
