  • Descrição: This chapter talks about markers that are vitally important to the success of the 5 Gears to achieve the desired changes you want. It provides some examples of using markers to trigger action to downshift. Shifting is so hard to do, but when we learn how to do it well it makes all the difference in the world. The power of the 5 Gears is in the language. It is a common vocabulary that can also be used as sign language if you are intentional about it. There is a natural time to shift from 1st to 2nd and from 4th to 5th and so on. Neutral is simply a transition between gears. Some of us take longer to transition from one gear to the next. The 5 Gears are about the application of emotional intelligence into the life of a leader. It leads to better connectivity, influence, and respect.
