  • Descrição: Aviation crashes raise many safety and liability issues. Aviation defendants deploy whatever strategies they can to skirt accountability, such as preemption or trying to move cases outside of the US when crashes involve foreign airlines, manufacturers, or victims. But what is clear is that aviation crashes are almost always preventable. Investigators blamed human error, but evidence also revealed that the air traffic control (ATC) system in place was severely outdated and had not kept pace with technological advances and ever-expanding flight routes. Among the several factors of air travel related safety issues include poor maintenance, the needed design modification, and an explosive fuel tank. Commuter planes and air taxi charters, which have much less seating capacity than commercial aircraft, have higher crash rates and are also less regulated.
