Descrição: Boris Dubosarschi is a foremost member of the Moldovan national composition school. His four string quartets represent an important part of his musical legasy. Written under the decisive influence of the work of Dmitri Schostakovich they belong to the Western string quartet tradition. This article represents a brief overview of the String Quartets by Boris Dubosarschi defining their place in the historical context of the Western string quartet creation.
