  • Description: The volume of waste generation construction (RCC) is inversely proportional to the use of material efficiency in construction processes. In this context, this paper presents the comparative results of the utilization percentage of the materials used in building houses, houses and buildings and their relationship with the generation of waste and economic impacts in the construction activity, the city of Toledo-Pr during the 2015. Therefore, by specifying the raw materials, products and utilization efficiency in each of the activities / steps in the construction process was possible to systematize the relationship between the quantities of materials used and the amounts and types of RCC generated. The results show economic losses of R $ 3,642.93 for homes (75.7% success), R $ 16,812.43 for houses (75% success) and R $ 86,853.03 for buildings (72.8% of use). In this way it is intended to demonstrate the need for better utilization of materials in construction sites, with skilled labor to minimize the generation of RCC, as well as the need to implement selective collection programs at the construction site.
